Tailwind Storage introduces the PRO-E to the U.S. market as an innovative and unique approach to storing and accessing data. PRO-E is a semiconductor memory (RAM) SSD storage device that replaces the slower hard disk drive, using a PCI Express type interface. Unlike the traditional FLASH drives common in the U.S., the PRO-E uses DDR memory as the storage device. The advancement from FLASH to DDR offers the next solution for performance improvement and speed by maintaining and sustaining fast read / write performance. The PRO-E fits into the system mother board spare PCI-e slot, allowing for a low-cost performance upgrade to existing storage, and it helps to improve application response times with its persistent high performance, high capacity DDR Memory. This minimizes application latency which helps to reduce hardware infrastructure, maintenance, floor space, and energy cost. PRO-E also eliminates I/O bottlenecks by integrating with host servers as a memory tier extension or cache.
